RESPIRATORY THERAPIST |

| The following technical skills are required of the Respiratory Therapy student for successful practice in the clinical area of the program. | |
| Psychomotor Skills | |
|
1. |
Vision - normal, corrected |
| 2. | Hearing - normal, corrected or aid able |
| 3. | Touch - average tactile sensitivity |
|
Physical Endurance - Students must be able to: |
|
| 1. | Lift, with assistance, 150 pounds |
| 2. | Manage, unassisted, a 200 pound patient |
| 3. | Stand for several hours |
| 4. | Work for three hours without a break |
| 5. | Successfully complete a CPR certification course |
| Communication Skills - The student must demonstrate: | |
| 1. | The ability to interact and verbally communicate with others |
| 2. | Knowledge of basic spelling, writing, and grammar skills |
